Food and shelter
..and other useful tips for your first days in the wild.
Brilliant's headquarters are in Skippergata 14b, 7042 Trondheim, in a building known as Trondheim Maritime Senter. Here you will find food and shelter from the glazing summer sun and the harsh cold winter environment. The building utilizes several survival tactics - the main one being camouflaged in rust colors to blend in with its surroundings. However, the inside will find you a cozy, modern day space to thrive in.
Use the entrance past the guest parking and make your way up to the 3rd floor. Use your access card and pin code to prove you're worthy - letting others know you're friendly and will contribute to the wealth and wellbeing of the herd and it's culture.
Standard working hours are 08:00-16:00 weekdays. We practice flexible working hours, with core hours being from 09:00 to 15:00). We register 8 hours per day in Xledger.
Hidden beneath the headquarters, in the second floor of the building, you'll find the food stash we share with other occupants. Here you'll find a selection of salads, cold and warm food, as well as sweets to bulk up through the winter months. A wide selection of seating areas to enjoy meals are offered as well.
This is all set into system through your access card, which you can add credits to in order to obtain food. Other means of payment are accepted as well, but using your access card grants a special discount, since all food is subsidized by Brilliant.
Stashing and preparing food
Brilliant offers the opportunity to stash both dry and refrigerated foods in our little kitchen nook. Here you will also find basic tools to prepare and digest your own meals. It is acceptable to bring and enjoy your own meals in the 2nd floor cafeteria as well.
Resources are important to our survival and growth and come in many shapes and sizes.
The following recurring resource allocation events are worth noting:
First day in the wilderness? Lucky you! Hopefully you've had the chance to meet some of our amazing people. When you have the time, we would greatly appreciate if you:
Many of our employees mark their territory and assert their dominance by leaving their vehicles in safe proximity of our shelter. This is permitted only on personally assigned squares of space allocated by the territorial tribunal, Trondheim Havn IKS.
Vacant territories just outside the building are for guests only - Although short stops for loading and unloading of shelter supplies is acceptable.
Need our own territory?
Log on to Trondheim Havn IKS Parking portal "Parka" and apply here.
Need access to bicycle parking and your own wardrobe locker? Shelter handyman Morten (+47 951 81 067 - morten@koteng.no) will help you get things sorted.
Travelling via public transport?
The closest bus stop is Dora, with Solsiden and Strandveien in short walking distance.
By rail, the Lademoen stop lands you 200 meters away.
Members of the herd have access to the building 24/7 via access card and code.
If harsh conditions have clouded your memory and the door lock refuses to accept your input (or your wish to change your code), or you were caught in a brawl and lost your access card, consult your team leader on how to resolve this.
