Shelter tidiness

Keeping our habitat clean and tidy ensures great survival conditions for everyone!

Kitchen

Brilliant's kitchen is located near our main entrance, and offers a refrigerator, sink, cups and basic utensils for making office work more enjoyable.

Hygiene is very important to keep us healthy and our shelter tidy, and it makes a happier place for both us habitants and visitors when kept in tip top condition.

Basic cleaning products can be found in the cupboard under the sink. We appreciate if you clean up any mess you make, and if you spot someone's forgotten mess, have their back and give the kitchen a quick shine!

This picture illustrates how a tidy kitchen should always look:

Dishwasher

Surprise!!! Tiny as it may seem, this kitchen has a secret door which hides a magnificent little machine. It's called.. A DISHWASHER!!

Contrary to popular belief, leaving dirty cups and dishes in the sink doesn't make them magically appear clean in the cupboards the next day. An actual human has to sort those dishes out, but we've outsourced the cleaning job to cutting edge cleaning technology, so all that's needed is to put your dirty cup in the dishwasher! The dishwasher requires soap found under the sink (tablets, not liquid soap!), simply push the on button found on its door, hear it play the cheerful "I'm going to wash all your dishes" tones, shut the door, and we're in business!

This machine is the secret to being highly successful in kitchen tidiness, and it is a join responsibility to fill and empty it when needed. The easiest rule of thumb to contribute is:

- If it's filling up, put your dirty cup in. If it's full but not running, check if it needs to be started. If it's clean and you need a cup, put the clean cups in the cupboard, and proceed take the last one for your coffee-reward.

We apologize for any passive aggressiveness this topic tends to offer.

Cardboard, Styrofoam and other waste

Cardboard, product packaging, plastics, pallets and other waste not fit for office wastebins, can be sent to recycling from the dedicated waste room located in the first floor behind our entrance elevator. You'll need you access card to open the hallway door, as well as the door to the waste room itself.

Be sure to immediately carry waste down, so it isn't laying around the office. Also make sure you sort the waste correctly.

Meeting rooms

Meeting rooms are to be kept presentable and tidy both for your own and others pleasure.

This means:

  • Put chairs back in place after use
  • Clean off the table with the blue bottle of anti-bacterial spray
  • Clean off any drawings or writings from whiteboards (pro tip: photograph them for later!)
  • Bring any cups or serving plates to the kitchen and put them in the dishwasher
  • Take any personal belongings with you
  • Before exiting, make sure the room is in a state you would be happy to bring a colleague or customer to.
